Roberta D. Spink (Whipple), 76, of North Kingstown, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Donald M. Spink for 54 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Sarah (Watson) Whipple.
Mrs. Spink enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and dine out.
Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Karen L. Dowd and her husband Roger Moody of Warwick; two brothers, William Whipple of GA and Raymond Whipple of AZ; a sister, Elizabeth Daylor of North Kingstown; two grandchildren, Michael Dowd and his wife Amanda and Melissa Dowd and her husband Bruce; and five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Ambra, Hailie, Cassidy and Sonny. She was the mother of the late Kevin M. Spink.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 10am-12pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association of RI, 146 Clifford Street, Providence, RI 02903 will be appreciated.
