United States Burial Flag
Yourfuneral directornormally expedites the APPLICATION FOR UNITED STATES FLAG FOR BURIAL PURPOSES which must also be validated through the Veteran’s discharge certificate (form DD 214 or equivalent). If you would like us to continue commemorating your Veteran’s honorable service, please consider making a flag donation to the cemetery.
Military Funeral Honors Graveside Ceremony
You may request to have a ceremonial unit perform Military Funeral Honors at your Veteran’s committal service at the cemetery. The core elements of the funeral honors ceremony are:
- Flag Folding
- Flag Presentation
- Playing of Taps
Gravesite Burial Flag with Flag Holder
All Veterans receive a small burial flag with flag holder at the time of their committal. These are changed annually by the Boy Scouts of America for Memorial Day. If you are ever missing a flag and/or holder, please do not hesitate to either stop in the office to receive a replacement or contact us.
