Olga H. (Roy) Audet, 94, of East Greenwich, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 surrounded by her devoted family. She was the wife of the late Ernest W. Audet. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Fred E. and Amelia (Olynk) Roy.
In 1966, she, along with her husband and sons, founded E. W. Audet & Sons, Inc., a leading New England electrical contracting firm. She was a Communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church and a volunteer at The Rocky Hill School for several years.
She leaves her loving children: Joan H. Osowa and her husband John of East Greenwich and Nantucket, MA, Ernest W. Audet, Jr. and his wife Carol of Lincoln and Port St. Lucie, FL, Mark S. Audet of East Greenwich, and the late Robert F. Audet. She was the mother-in-law of Kate Audet of Exeter. Cherished grandmother of nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Fred and Alice Roy of Warwick, Eugenia Conaty, wife of the late Joseph Conaty of Riverside, Amelia Sullivan, wife of the late Edward Sullivan of Warwick, and Madlyn and Alfred Nelson of Dennis, MA. She was the sister of the late Helen McGovern and her husband John.
Her Funeral will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 10:15 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A off I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Special Olympics of RI, 370 George Washington Highway, Smithfield, RI 02917 will be appreciated.
