HUNTEMANN, ELIZABETH M. “BETH” (GRUNDY), age 93, of Warwick, died on Friday, March 1, 2013 at home. She was the wife of the late George L. Huntemann.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Fred and Mary (McLaren) Grundy, she was a life-long Warwick resident. Mrs. Huntemann was employed at the Providence Journal Co. for 27 years, retiring as an executive secretary in 1988. She was an avid rug hooker, and a member of the Association of Traditional Rug Hookers and the Little Rhody Thrummers. She was a parishioner and former vestry member at St. Mark Episcopal Church in Warwick, and a member of Adah Chapter # 15, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy A. Peffer of Warwick; a nephew, Jeff Peffer and his wife Sue of Cumberland; and a grandnephew and grandniece, Andrew Peffer and Kristen Peffer.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 5, at 10 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a service at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 111 West Shore Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Mark Church.
