Friday, July 6, 2012 following 10 am funeral service at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home (Section 86 Lot 1 Grave 2)

Anthony Roberto, Lt. NKPD (Ret.), 63, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Virginia C. “Ginny” (Brown) Roberto for 40 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of Anthony Roberto of Apache Junction, AZ and the late Beverly (Chapin) Roberto.

He was a 30 year Veteran of the North Kingstown Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. He was an EVOC Instructor for the RIMPTA and was a member of the Emergency Response Team. Lt. Roberto was also a member of the Commissioned Police Officers Association of RI. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge 33. After his retirement, he worked security for Newport Grand for 10 years.

He enjoyed landscaping and traveling.

Besides his wife and father, he leaves his loving daughters, Kelly Hart and her husband John of West Greenwich and Christine Moretti and her husband David of Westerly; a sister, Sharon L. Roberto of Apache Junction, AZ; a nephew, Scott Phillips of Warwick; and his two cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Emerson Hart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network will be appreciated.
