Tuesday, June 19, 2012 following 10am funeral service at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (Section 47A Lot 2 Grave 1A)

Theodosia “Teddy” R. Carson, 75, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in MA, she was the daughter of the late Arden and Hazel (Clark) Carson.

“Teddy” worked in the activities department of West View Nursing Home for five years. She sang in the church choir since she was ten years old and was an avid white water rafter and Red Sox fan. She was a Girl Scout leader, a youth group den mother for ten years, a member of the Rainbow Girls and worked with children with developmental disabilities. She also enjoyed square dancing.

She is survived by ten children: Deborah McCoy of Warwick, Raymond Dumas of Iowa, Ramona Dumas of Woonsocket, Ronald Dumas of West Warwick, Roxann Phillips, Elaina Cooke, Harry Fletcher, Brenda Etchells, and Dwight Dumas, all of Coventry, and Kristen Flint of West Warwick; 20 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren and was the caregiver of Leo Allen of Coventry. She was the mother of the late Robert Dumas.

A funeral service will be at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Ave., West Warwick on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 AM followed with interment at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery in North Kingstown. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 PM. Should friends desire, donations in her name may be made to the West Greenwich Animal Hospital, 14 Victory Highway, W. Greenwich, RI 02817.
