Wednesday, May 28, 2014 following 10:00am funeral service at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (Section 67 Lot 1 Grave 5)
West Greenwich, RI – Kathleen M. (Daniel) Hart, 61, of Robin Hollow Road and Valrico, FL passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014 at her home in Florida after a fourteen month battle with leukemia. She was the beloved wife of H. Kenneth Hart.
Born in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late John R. Daniel, USN Ret. and Lorraine M. (Leyman) Daniel.
Kathy loved working (puttering as she called it) around the house and out in the yard. She loved to shop and she loved her dogs. She always enjoyed needlework, especially knitting and crochet. Her family remembers her being very artistic with all of her handmade items and how meticulous she was in all things she did in life. She was the true leader of their family. She was always very caring of everyone else and very attentive to their needs, not hers. Her family is her legacy.
In addition to her husband of 39 years, she is survived by her four children: Kenneth A. Hart & his wife Kathleen of Johnston, RI, Darlene D. Hart of North Providence, RI, Paul S. Hart & his wife Vanessa of Coventry, RI and John M. Hart & his wife Kelly of West Greenwich, RI; two sisters: Cynthia Brown of Coventry, RI and Sheryl Hosley of Warwick, RI; ten grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces & nephews and sister-in-law Doreen Kerzner of North Providence, RI.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial will be at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown, RI.
