Robert B. Read, Sr., 82, of Warwick, passed away on Monday, November 18th. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn L. (Neville) Read. Born in Westerly, a son of the late William J. Read, Jr. and E. Beatrice (Boyd) Read.
Mr. Read was the owner and operator of Read Electronics and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Church of The Master.
He was the loving father of Robert B. Read, Jr. and his wife Anna of Woonsocket, Rhonda Elaine Yarborough of Warwick and the late David Read. Cherished grandfather of Christiana Elaine Yarborough and step-grandfather of Heather Barrington. Caring brother of William J. Read, III of Dover, DE.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am in Church of The Master, 15 Valley Street, Providence. Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 4-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95).
