Hubbard, Michael J., died Sunday, October 6, 2013. He was born on December 14, 1967 to Irene (Matis) Hubbard, currently of North Kingstown, RI, and the late John H. Hubbard, MD and grew up in Ridgewood, NJ.
A graduate of NYU, Franklin Pierce College, and Kent State University with degrees in archeology, he held membership in many archaeological associations such as the American Association of Physical Anthropologists and the Society for American Archaeology. He worked for Public Archaeology Laboratory in Pawtucket, RI.
He is survived by his mother, Irene, and sister Kimberley Cavanaugh, spouse James and children, Emily and Courtney; his brother, Christopher, spouse Sascha and children, Jack and Luke.
A funeral service for Michael, a resident of Central Falls, will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 AM. Interment will follow immediately after the service, at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. His family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Preservation Society of Pawtucket.
