Esther L. (Cole) Fenner, 98, formerly of Gorton Lake Boulevard, Warwick passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Kent Hospital. For the past 11 years she resided at Atria Harborhill in East Greenwich. She was the wife of the late George D. Fenner. Born in Cranston, RI, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Morley) Cole.
Mrs. Fenner enjoyed traveling with her husband, she was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her sister Mary J. Tinker of Providence and was a loving Aunt who played an important role in the lives of her many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leonard Cole, Elizabeth Stone and Florence Dion
Relatives and friends are invited to Calling Hours on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 5-7 pm in THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95). Her funeral and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114 would be appreciated.
