North Kingstown – Elsie Wendelschaefer, 96, of Lake Mary, FL died Friday, June 28, 2013 at South Seminole Hospital, Longwood, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Felix R. Wendelschaefer.
Born in Lancashire, England, the daughter of the late James and Lily (Ashurst) Eatock, she lived in Saunderstown for over 60 years. She moved to Lake Mary in 2011.
She was a member of the Rhode Island State Grange, the Quonochontaug Grange 48, the Perryville Grange, the Quidnessett Grange 44, the North Kingstown Women’s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two sons: F. James Wendelschaefer of Saunderstown and Brian L. Wendelschaefer of Longwood, FL; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral service Saturday, July 6 at 10 AM at Chapel of Saint John the Devine, Church Way at Willett Road, Saunderstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations sent to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114.
