Saturday, March 23, 2013 following 10am funeral service in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel (Section 87 Lot 2 Grave 10)
Salhany, Russell, 75, a retired manager for Stop & Shop passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Kent Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marie T. (Gomes) Salhany.
Mr. Salhany served in RI National Guard and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was the loving father of Steven R. Salhany and his wife, Lisa; Michael R. Salhany and his wife, Elizabeth; and Scott Salhany and his wife, Rhonda; devoted grandfather of Matthew, Christian, Claudia, Savanna, Joseph and Domenic. He was the brother of Richard L. Salhany.
His funeral service will be held Saturday, March 23 at 10 am in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Kidney & Renal Fund of RI Hospital, 593 Eddy Street, Providence, RI 02903, will be appreciated.
