Reid, Michael D., Sr., 73, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at home. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James F. Reid and Laura (Venancio) Spirydowicz.
Michael was employed as a tool setter for Rau Fastener. He is survived by one son, Michael D. Reid, Jr.; two daughters Katy Delgadillo and Wendy Vargas; two brothers James Reid and Joseph Spirydowciz; one sister Nora Swift; five grandchildren Arlene Breault, Angel Vargas, Kali Kidd, Kevin Kidd and Marisa Vargas; one great-grandchild Jaden Vasquez.
His funeral will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at 9 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita Church, Oakland Beach Ave. at 10 AM. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Michael D. Reid, Sr. Memorial Fund, 672 Providence St, West Warwick, RI 02893 will be appreciated.
