Alan T. Scalabrin, 65, of North Kingstown, died Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. He was the husband of Patricia M. (White) Scalabrin to whom he had been married for forty two years.
He was born in Northvale, NJ, a son of the late Bruno and Rita (Gavalas) Scalabrin and had been a resident of Rhode Island for most of his life. Mr. Scalabrin had worked in the Financial Field for several years and was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Wickford and was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Craig A. Scalabrin of Kansas City, daughter Brenna L. Anderson of North Kingstown, and three grandchildren, Haley Scalabrin, Megan and Kyra Anderson. He was the brother of the late Ernest Scalabrin.
His funeral was held Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 9am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, Wickford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to his memory to the American Lung Association, 260 West Exchange Street, Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903 or to the American Disability Association, 2201 Sixth Avenue, South Birmingham, AL 35233 will be appreciated.
