Raymond A. Driscoll, 67, of North Kingstown passed away on June 24, 2012 at South County Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Joanne M. (Parente) Driscoll.

Mr. Driscoll was born in Pawtucket and was the son of the late Raymond and Rosalie (McCaughey) Driscoll. He was a 1964 graduate of LaSalle Academy in Providence and served honorably in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Driscoll dedicated his career to public service. He proudly served the Rhode Island State Police as a trooper for twenty-five years before retiring with the rank of Lieutenant and the title of Patrol Commander. After retiring from the State Police, he served the town of Richmond as Police Chief for seventeen years.

Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Raymond C. Driscoll, Esquire of Philadelphia, PA and Paul S. Driscoll of Stratford, CT. He also leaves his two granddaughters, Sydney and Sloane. He was the brother of Daniel E. Driscoll of Providence and Rosalie Apice of Barrington.

His Funeral will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 8:45am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to South County Hospital, Infusion Unit, 100 Kenyon Avenue, Wakefield, RI 02879 will be appreciated.
