Wednesday, January 25, 2012 following 8:45am funeral from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home and 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church (Sec. 243 Lot 6 Grave 7)

Theresa Tessitore, 89, of North Kingstown, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Kent Hospital. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Elizabeth (Alagreto) Tessitore.

Miss Tessitore was a Bookkeeper for Atromed, Inc. for 20 years. She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Parish and a member of the Choir, Parish Prayer Group, and performed in many parish plays. She was an avid Patriots fan.

She was the sister of the late Dora Gendron, Louis Tessitore, Sr. and John Tessitore. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Patricia Ann Kinney of Ashaway, RI, Anthony Tessitore of New York City, John Tessitore of Turkey, Istanbul, Louis Tessitore, Jr. of North Kingstown and Stephen Tessitore of Chester, CT; her grandnieces and grandnephews Pamela Ann Joplin of Deerfield, NH, Donald Edward Kinney, Jr. of Ashaway, Michelle Ann Kinney of Warwick, Jason Michael Kinney of Hamstead, North Carolina, Courtney Elizabeth Tessitore of Honolulu, Hawaii, Nicholas Andrew Tessitore of North Kingstown, Lorna Elizabeth Dean of East Hampton, CT and Stephanie Marguerita Tessitore of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her great grandniece Isabella Maria Kinney. She is also survived by her lifelong companion Lucille I. Willette of North Kingstown; her nephew Douglas S. Eccleston of West Warwick; and her nieces Cheryl A. Filipkowski and her husband Joseph of Warwick and Debra C. Achterberg and her husband Michael of West Warwick.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 am from THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Route 5, Warwick (Exit 12A on I-95) with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial will follow. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday 4-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Francis de Sales Church, “Honor Our Past Campaign,” 381 School Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated.
