Saturday, November 5, 2011 following 11:00am Memorial Service in the R.A. Iannotti Funeral Home (Section 57 Lot 12 Grave 4A)

FULLER, RAY E., 96, died at home in West Greenwich on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. He was the beloved companion of Ada D. Farrell. He was a son of the late Warren L. and Henrietta (Redfern) Fuller.

Mr. Fuller had been a life long resident of Rhode Island until his retirement in 1993 when he moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida. He attended the Rhode Island School of Design where he studied tool design. He and his father formed the W.L. Fuller Co. It was at this time that he designed and the company manufactured the taper point drill and other machine tools. He worked as a master mechanic rebuilding special machinery and designing prototype equipment for heavy industry manufacturing businesses in and around the Rhode Island area. Before his retirement, he was employed by the State of Rhode Island as the Superintendent of Maintenance at the Community College of Rhode Island, Warwick Campus. Preventative maintenance was a major concern in his daily work schedule. This led to a request from the Community Services Department at the College to teach a course in home repairs. In 1982 Mr. Fuller retired from CCRI. It was at this time that he established Ray’s Lock and Key Co. He was a charter member of the Locksmith Association of RI.

He is survived by five sons, Richard, Edgar and Robert Fuller, of Rhode Island. John Fuller, Mississippi, and Murray Fuller in Arizona; a daughter, Rae Laurie Low of Pascoag, RI. He had eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and one great- great granddaughter; brother of the late Warren L. Fuller.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11:00 am in the R. A. IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117), Coventry. Inurnment in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours prior to Service 9:30 am 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the West Greenwich Community Rescue Co., 733 Victory Highway, West Greenwich, RI 02817 will be appreciated. iannottifh.com
