Martin, John K., 69, died Friday, November 18, 2011. He was the beloved husband for 25 years of Donna I. (Ayres) Martin and son of the late Robert and Ida (Croce) Martin. John was a painting contractor for 45 years and the owner of Martin Brothers Painting. He was the father of Michael A. Martin, Jay A. Martin, Sheena M. Proulx and the late John K. Martin, Jr.; stepfather of Melissa M. Oliveira; grandfather of eight; brother of Robert, Loretta, Ida, Roland, Judy, Joyce, Richard, Anthony, Joseph, Gloria Martin and the late Betty and Sarah Martin.
His funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM.
