Committal Service

Rothfuss GertrudeWednesday February 12, 2014 following 10am funeral service in The Warwick Central Baptist Church (Section 87 Lot 4 Grave 3)

Gertrude E. “Trudy” (Ramsdell) Rothfuss, 69 of Coventry, died Saturday, February 8, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of David E. Rothfuss.

Trudy was born in Providence a daughter of the late Gil Ramsdell & Dorothy ( Bosworth) Nunley. She was a Secretary for the Kent County Y.M.C.A. and previously a Secretary for the Coventry School Department until her retirement. She was a member of the Warwick Central Baptist Church, Quonset – Davisville Naval Yacht Club, and a graduate of the Warwick Veterans High School.

Besides her husband she is survived by her devoted daughters Cristin L. Rothfuss ( Jennifer A. Miller) of Medford MA., Pamela R. Switzer (Peter J.) of Marlborough N.H., and Jacquelyn J. LaPlante ( Brian) of Scituate. Her cherished grandchildren Wyatt, Josie, Emma, Jared, and Abbie. She was the sister of Hope Dubowski of PA., Claire Sanders of MS., Amanda Nunley of West Warwick, and the late Howard, Robert, and Barbara Ramsdell.

Her funeral service will be held Wednesday Feb. 12, 2014 at 10:00am in The Warwick Central Baptist Church, 3270 Post Road Warwick. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, and may call at THE URQUHART – MURPHY FUNERAL HOME 800 Greenwich Avenue Warwick, (exit 12 A off I – 95), Tuesday 5-8pm.
