Dorothy L. (Pugsley) Williams, 88, of Warwick passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Kent Hospital. She was the wife of the late Warren Williams. Born in Milford, MA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer P. and Ethel (Kershaw) Pugsley.
Mrs. Williams was an assembler for General Electric Co. in Providence and Warwick until her retirement in 1985 after 37 years of service. She was a member of Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian, the Ferriter Club of General Electric, Quarter Century Club of General Electric and Sincerity Chapter #24 O.E.S.
She was the beloved mother of Edward P. Williams of Warwick and Linda J. Tillinghast of Coventry. Caring sister of Earl C. Pugsley of Anderson, IN, Bethany M. Shuart of Kitatis, WA and Hazel C. Findling of Wellsburg, WV. Cherished grandmother of five and great-grandmother of six.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 am in Greenwood Community Church Presbyterian, 805 Main Avenue, Warwick. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Calling hours respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
