Bell, Madelyn D. (Leeman) 99 years of age passed away on September 15, 2013 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston, RHode Island. She was the loving and devoted wife of 56 years to the late George H. Bell Jr.

Born in Nova Scotia, Canada she was the only child of Frank and Ethel (Prentiss) Leeman. She moved to this country when she was a small girl. After her marriage to George, they lived in several areas of the country before settling in Cranston. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church Providence. Madelyn was had worked for several banks, retiring as the Office Manager at Rhode Island Hospital Trust Co. She loved playing golf with Goerge and was a member of the Exeter Country Club. She enjoyed knitting and knitted small caps for premature infants at local hospitals. She also enjoyed dancing and was a member of the Friendly Mixers square dance club. She was a beautiful and classy lady.

She is survived by a cousin Frederick Feltus of New Brunswick, Canada. Her funeral will be held on Thursday September 19th at 10:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visitation is kindly omitted.
