Stuart F. Hamlyn, Sr., 81, of Wickford passed away February 6, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Blanche (Lizotte) Hamlyn for 63 years.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Russell, Sr. and Catherine (Collins) Hamlyn, he lived in Edgewood for many years before moving to Wickford.
Stuart was a buyer for Benny’s for over 60 years and was still working on a part-time basis.
Besides his wife, he leaves two children, Susan Hamlyn of Wickford and Stuart F. Hamlyn, Jr. of Sausalito, CA; and a brother, Edward Hamlyn of Maine. He was the father of the late Maureen Sullivan; and brother of the late Russell Hamlyn, Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be private. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5pm in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
