Wednesday, February 20, 2013 following 8:30am funeral from Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home and 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Gregory the Great Church (Section 76 Lot 3 Grave 4)
Marite Koch (Kelly) 64, of Verdant Lane, Warwick, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at home, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Peter A. Koch, married for 40 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Audry (Delaney) Kelly. She was raised in Edgewood and lived in Warwick the past 40 years.
Marite attended St. Mary’s Academy-Bay View in East Providence and Regis College in Weston, MA. She was a communicant, former softball coach and religious education teacher at Saint Gregory the Great Church.
Marite is well known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling, theatre, the arts, cooking, entertaining, the lake house, her book club and spending time with her children. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all.
Besides her husband, she leaves four children: Kelly Koch, of Springfield, MA, Amy Koch, Kristen Koch, and Peter Koch, Jr., all of Boston, MA. Marite also had two sisters, Patricia McManus, of Warwick and Maureen Longo, of Middletown, CT; a brother, Dennis Kelly, of North Kingstown; fourteen nieces and nephews and her granddog, Maeby. She was also the sister of the late Michael Kelly.
Marite’s funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117 – Exit 10 off I-95) Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial will follow at Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 pm.
