Doris L. Moon (Asselin), 88, of Lafayette Road, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013. She was the wife of the late Frank O. Moon. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Adolphe and Eliza (Laferriere) Asselin.
Mrs. Moon worked at Stanley Bostitch for many years before retiring. She was honorary member emerita of the Old Time Fiddlers Club of RI. She was an excellent hostess to her family, friends and members of the Old Time Fiddlers Club. She enjoyed her home and her flower garden. She was a communicant of St. Bernard Church.
She leaves her son, David A. Duff and his wife Kathleen of Plano, TX; two grandsons, Michael and Jason Duff of Texas; and a great-granddaughter, Madeleine.
Visiting hours Friday, February 1, 2013 6-9pm and Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 10-11am in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:30am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
