Doris R. “Dottie” Clark (Hackett), 78, of Burnt Cedar Drive, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012. She was the wife of Donald E. Clark for 56 years.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Laurea (Lowell) Hackett.
Mrs. Clark was an administrative assistant for the Holiday Inn in Providence for many years before retiring.
She was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Leo D. Clark and his wife Julie of Narragansett; two daughters, Donna L. Smilowitz and her husband Kalman of Redondo Beach, CA and Lori J. Merola of North Kingstown; a sister, Eleanor F. Smith and her husband Barry of North Kingstown; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Her funeral will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at 9am from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 will be appreciated.
