Deac left his loving wife and three young sons to join the Army on Sept. 18, 1944 and was killed in action six months later in Germany, on March 23, 1945.  He is survived by his oldest son David Quinn, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and was also the father of the late Dennis and Douglas Quinn.

He was born in South Kingston, RI, and prior to his enlistment into the service was employed at Hamilton Standard Propellers in Pawcatuck, CT.

His beloved wife Louise passed away on October 2, 2011 at the age of 93 and was buried with all of the love letters that Deac had written to her while he was in the service.  Finally, 67 years later, on May 16, 2012, ends the final chapter of their wonderful love story.  Deac was moved to Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery to be next to Louise so they will be together forever.

Papa,
I wanted to tell you how sorry I am that I can’t be there for you in RI. I know how important this is to you.
What a wonderful thing you are doing for your parents, and you couldn’t have done a more perfect thing for your Mom for Mother’s Day. I can hear Grammy saying… “My David did this for me”.
I love you,
Robin
