Friday, February 24, 2012 following 8:45am funeral from Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home and 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church
(Section 74 Lot 22 Grave 4)

Michael D. Ruggieri, 19, of West Allenton Road, North Kingstown, passed away tragically on Sunday, February 19, 2012, from injuries sustained as a passenger in an automobile accident.

Michael was the beloved son of David Ruggieri and Barbara A. (May) Ruggieri, and the loving older brother of Vincent M. and Nicholas J. Ruggieri, all of North Kingstown, and the grandson of Dora (Malpino) May and the late J. Lewis “Louie” May, and Mildred (Cubellis) Ruggieri and the late Orlando Ruggieri, of North Kingstown. He was the nephew of John (Lois) May, Joseph May, Kenneth (Judy) May, the late R. Dennis May, Donna Ruggieri, and Christine Ruggieri, and is also survived by numerous great uncles, great aunts, and cousins.

“Mike,” “Reggie,” “Grandpa” was a 2011 graduate of North Kingstown High School. He was a recent graduate of the diesel-mechanic training program at TTC of Rhode Island, and had begun to work as a driver and mechanic for Hopedale Trucking, Inc., his father’s business in North Kingstown. Previously, Michael was employed during his high school years at Dave’s Marketplace in North Kingstown and the Homestead Restaurant in Exeter. Michael had been a Boy Scout in Troop 152, played baseball and freshman-year football, was a member of the high school drama club, and was fascinated by and had a natural aptitude for all things mechanical. He was dearly loved by his family, cherished by his friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held Friday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rte. 117), Warwick. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown, with burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday at the Boyle Funeral Home from 3 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the Memory of Michael D. Ruggieri, c/o The Washington Trust Company, 7625 Post Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island 02852, with the disbursement of the fund to be determined by the family at a later date.
