Thursday, January 5, 2011 following 11:00am funeral service in the Hill Funeral Home
(Section 28 Lot 53 Grave 1)

Marion E. Cormack Worrell, 102 passed away December 31, 2011. She was the wife of Frederick T. Worrell, Jr. and the wife of the late Kenneth Cormack.

Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Clinton A. and Rebecca (Crowther) Clough and the sister of the late Clinton G. Clough, Sr. and aunt of the late Lillian E. Pelley.

Mrs. Worrell was a school teacher and principal in the Warwick School system including Cedar Hill Elementary and was also the former Director of Education at Rocky Hill Country Day School.

She was a graduate of Rhode Island College and received her masters degree from the University of Rhode Island and was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She was a former member of the Warwick Country Club, RI Ladies Golf Association, Sunshine Society of America, Kent Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Cranston Line Dancing Group, East Greenwich/Warwick Garden Club, Plum Beach Club, an honorary member of the Eastern Star #15 and an avid traveler, golfer and bridge player.

Funeral service Thursday at 11:00 am in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., E. Greenwich. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, N. Kingstown. Visitation prior to the service will be from 10-11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association .
