Saturday, January 21, 2011 following 10:00am funeral service in The Butterfield Chapel
(Section 96 Lot 23 Grave 10)

Westberg, Dorothy M. (Johnson) 93, formerly of Royal Crest apartments and the St. Elizabeth’s Home went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 17, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur R. Westberg. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Dahlia (Crossley) Johnson.

She is survived by her children Sandra Cook and her husband David, Susan Vale, William Westberg and his wife Lisa, David Westberg and his wife Carol, sister Evelyn Ahern, grandchildren Bethany, Joshua Vale and his wife Hilary, great granddaughter Jackson Vale, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Frances Barbieri.

She lived most of her life in Cranston and Warwick where she devoted her entire life to her family and to the church she attended. She enjoyed taking long rides to Cape Cod, New Hampshire and Rockport, MA. She loved to go out to many of the local restaurants for dinner and also blessed her family with many “family dinners”, birthday parties and special occasions. She graduated from Cranston High School in 1936, and was a member of the Calvary Covenant Church for over 50 years where she was active with the Woman’s Guild and the 55 Plus group.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 21st at 10:00am in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery North Kingstown. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00pm. Kindly omit flowers. Donations to Young Life PO Box 131 Manville, RI 02838 would be appreciated.
