Hope E. M. (Mortimer) Marsella, 75, of Narragansett, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at South County Hospital in Wakefield. Born in Providence, she was the beloved daughter of Hope C. (Steinhoff) Mortimer of Providence and the late Guy Mortimer.
Hope was a 1953 graduate of Central High School and worked at AMICA before taking time to raise her family. She later was an Administrative Assistant at Brown University for 20 years before retiring.
Besides her mother, she was the devoted mother of Cheryl Marsella-Lauzier and her husband Richard of Smithfield and Stephen H. Marsella, Esq. and his wife Jessica of Narragansett; loving grandmother of Christina, Lexa, Matthew, James and Richard, Jr.; and dear sister of Paul Mortimer and his wife Mary Ellen of Warwick.
Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday 5-8 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd .(Rt. 1A), Narragansett.
