Saturday, October 15, 2011 following 8:45am funeral in Woodlawn Funeral Home and 10:00am Mass of Christian Burial in
Our Lady of the Rosary Church
(Section 6 Lot 9B Grave 1)

McCABE, ALAN E. 72 of West Warwick, formerly of East Providence passed away October 10, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence a son of the late Edward E. and Olive (Hunt) McCabe. Mr McCabe was a Quality Inspector for Evan’s Findings in East Providence.

Alan was accomplished musician. He was a member of the R.I. Philharmonic Orchestra, the Colonial Band, the Nate Robertson Orchestra, the Lafayette Band, the Bristol Portuguese Independent Band , the New Era Jazz Band, the Warwick Symphony Orchestra, the Holy Rosary Band and the Providence Civic Orchestra for Senior Citizens. He was a member of the R.I. Federation of Musicians.

Mr McCabe served a Vice President of the Attleboro Chapter of the JayCee’s from 1961-1964.

He is survived by a son Timothy A. McCabe and his wife Michelle of Warwick, Two daughters Kathleen J. Paul and her husband William of Warwick and Kimberly A. Gedney and her husband Kevin of Toronto Canada. Grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Dorothy L. Moore. He was the former husband of Janet (Galli) McCabe-McElroy.

His funeral is Saturday at 8:45 am. from ”WOODLAWN” Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Providence. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. VISITATION Friday 4-7 pm. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
