Nelson F. Andrews, 83, of Exeter, died peacefully on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at South County Hospital. Born in East Greenwich, he was a son of the late Maurice E. Andrews and L. Hope (Brown) Andrews. He was the husband of the late Beverly J. (Peckham) Andrews.
Mr. Andrews was a Wood Pattern Maker for many years. He served his apprenticeship at Brown & Sharpe Manufacturing Company, working there until their closure. He also worked and retired from Harmony Pattern & Casting in Johnston. He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wickford.
He leaves his two children: Judith E. Barske and her husband William of Exeter and James N. Andrews and his wife Belinda of Exeter. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey A. Barske and David A. Barske, of Exeter and great-grandfather of Brooke A. Barske and Kaelyn M. Barske of Exeter. He was the brother of the late Maurice E. Andrews, Jr. and half-brother of Bette Williamson of Exeter, Evelyn Jones of Gloucester Point, VA, Marilyn Little of North Kingstown, and the late Georgia M. Ray, Roselyn F. Dias, and Harold J. Andrews.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Kindly omit flowers.
