(Section 9 Lot 5B Grave 1A)

HARWICH — Marian Snow Sinnott, 92 of Harwich, passed away at home on May 4, 2012, after a brief illness.

Born on December 30, 1919, in Cranston, RI, she was the daughter of the late Florence Pratt and Asa Raymond Snow.

She lived and raised her family in Cranston until 1975 when she moved to Harwich, where many generations of Snows lived. Marian was a descendant of Constance Hopkins Snow of the Mayflower. Marian was a volunteer for the Harwich Historical Society, Fonine Medical Center and the First Congregational Church of Harwich. Marian was the first female in Rhode Island to join the Waves of WWII and was proud of her service to her country. She belonged to a Waves group on the Cape for years.

Marian was the beloved wife of Leo F. Sinnott, who predeceased her in September of 2001. She was also predeceased by her brother, Richard Snow; her sister, Elizabeth Stebbins; and her nephews, David Snow Putnam and Richard Stebbins.

Survivors include her two children, Richard R. Sinnott and his wife, Elizabete Estagne-Sinnott of Truro, Susan L. Sinnott of Brighton, MA; her two grandchildren, Lauren Sinnott of Omaha, Nebraska, Sarah Sinnott of San Diego, CA; her beloved nephew, Ted Stebbins and his wife Jeanne of Warwick, RI, and Dennis, MA; as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date this summer.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian’s memory may be made to the First Congregational Church of Harwich, 697 Main Street, Harwich, MA 02645.

After Glow
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done,
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and
summer days.
I’d like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.

~Helen Lowrie Marshall
