Francis P. Farymore, 97, of Post Road and formerly of South County, died August 13, 2011 at Kent Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, VA, a son of the late Anthony and Sophie (Regula) Faryniarz, he was the brother of Ann McSwain of Louisiana, Anthony Faryniarz and Frances Kaczynski both of Connecticut.

After being discharged from the Merchant Marine during the 1940′s he pursued a career in acting in New York City and it was at that time in his life that he changed his last name.

Funeral service Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 9:00 AM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home & Crematory, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. Information and condolences at www.carpenterjenks.com.
